Welcome to Grantswood Community School’s web page!  As principal of Grantswood, I want you to know that we are here for your children!

GCS Vision:

The vision of Grantswood Community School is to provide effective instruction that meets the needs of all learners.

GCS Mission:

We are committed to:

Providing a positive, safe, orderly, and academically challenging environment, that supports student learning;

Involving, engaging, and equipping parents, and the community to support student, and school success.

Student learning is the chief priority of the school

• All students have a challenging academic program, designed to accommodate their diverse learning styles

• Staff, parents, and the community share the responsibility for advancing the mission of the school

• Resources are allocated to support student learning

My personal favorite quote is "When a collection of brilliant minds, hearts and talents come together...expect a masterpiece." In order to be collectively successful, we are open to everyone’s thoughts by working together, focusing on the same vision and mission, and working for the same student-centered goals.  Then we consistently share our goals with all stakeholders…students, families, and community. High expectations and reliability are essential to becoming a great school, which takes continued efforts and support from each other to succeed. Grantswood Community School have both!

 I am honored to be known as “Teacher of our Hearts” to my students as I believes that we must build relationships with them in order to create changes in their lives. Students have to trust you, know you care, and believe you will follow through with the expectations set for them. I will do anything to motivate my students.
